Alan B. Rosenzweig, 48, of Fort Myers, Fla., died suddenly Jan. 4, 2004.

Alan was born in Duluth, Minn, April 2, 1955. He was a 1973 graduate of East High School and attended UMD. He worked for Goldfine's By the Bridge and Krenzen Auto before opening his own car detailing and cleaning business.

Alan married Valerie Thompson, Aug. 17, 1985 and they moved to Fort Myers where they continued his business, Alan Rosenzweig Detailing Company. Alan loved and enjoyed anything about cars. Alan was a member of Ionic Lodge 186, Araba Shrine Temple, Araba Camels and the Royal Order of Jesters. He was also a Kentucky Colonel.

Alan is survived by his wife, Valerie, of Fort Myers; his parents Joseph and Susie Rosenzweig; brother Michael S. (Betsy) and their sons, Michael D. and Samuel, all of Duluth; cousins Ute and Ellen Weizsaeker of Germany; father and mother-in-law Dr. James and Carol Thompson of Palm Harbor, Fla.; several brothers and sisters-in law; and many nieces and nephews.

SERVICE: 11 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004, at Temple Israel, Duluth. Burial following at Temple Emanuel Cemetery Rabbi Amy Bernstein officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Temple Israel for the Ida Cook Hebrew School. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home.
